Without a doubt the worst hospital I have ever been to save yourself time and agony and go to the St. Luke's in Coaldale if you need help. I would not let them work on myself or anyone I love. I went to the emergency room for stomach pains and felt like I was in a horror movie. I wasn't treated for hours and then I was given unnecessary tests which racked up my bill. Truly a horrible experience.
I truly can not thank them enough.
I don't know where they found the nurse named Rose that was working in ER but she is definitely very unprofessional. I have never in my life seen someone act like it is such a hard time to do the job she is there getting paid for. If you don't actually do the things that your supposed to as a medical professional then you should prolly look into getting a job in retail or something. She was actually grossed out by what she had to do and refused to do it. So in conclusion. If you wanna be a Registered Nurse. Make sure you keep in mind the things your job actually calls for and just hope and pray your life isn't left anywhere near her hands. She might lose it if you get some blood on her.
I'm not sure why their reviews are so low. My experience was great... well as good as it could be for being in an emergency room. The staff were friendly, attentive, and thorough. I was checked in and admitted right away. They were able to find the problem diagnose it and prescribe me medicine. I was literally in and out in two hours which is fantastic for an emergency room.
My child was brought to the Lehighton emergency dept.by ambulance on 8/16/17 (after a horrible experience at a different hospital earlier in the week).
The doctor on duty at BMHS was very professional and encouraging (unfortunately, I can't remember his name).
In the morning, Lori took over and finalized the details and got us on our way.
I know they'd say they were just doing their job, but I felt they really cared about the outcome for my child.
The crisis team at this hospital is fantastic.
Absolutely terrible hospital. I was taken there after a breakup because I was upset and then I was told I would have to stay overnight because the person I was supposed to meet with was not available.. I then told them I wanted to leave because there was no point in me staying there to wait to talk to someone and I got a ride home, then they send my charges to a debt collection agency that has the WORST reviews online, everyone has rated them 1 star and lots of reviews say they are scamming people. I called the hospital to make sure the charges were real and she said they were because they took my blood work and did a pee test. I did not even stay so there was no reason for them to do any of that. They also apparently diagnosed me with some kind of depression, yet I was never, ever made aware of the diagnosis or the charges. The lady on the phone, Sandy, was not helpful or nice. I left her a voicemail yesterday and it took her almost 24 hours to call me back and when she did call me back she had no idea why, I left a message and clearly explained the situation and she made me explain it all again as if she did not even listen to my voicemail. She was unapologetic and not very nice. I would never ever ever recommend going to this hospital for any reason.
Chris worked well into the night to start the process to get my child the help he needed.
Our nurse, Jessica, was wonderful.
