If youre an older individual, or have small children, this place is for you. If you have teenagers, it may not be. The owner seemed very intolerant of our teenagers. We, as a family, are not rule breakers, BUT thr amount of rules and guidelines this facility expected to be followed was over the top. "No horse play at the pool" we were told while our kids were splashing around in the pool. In other words, I guess, "Get a tube and float around, but dont make waves." The supposed store wasnt always open. The seasonals, for some reason, could bring drinks up to the pool but we werent allowed and upon check in, we were given bright green bracelets to wear so they would know we "belonged" there, but you got more of a sense thst it was so they could keep a closer eye on you, which was kinda creepy too. We will not be returning to this campground, needless to say....
We have camped all over Pennsylvania and I have never felt compelled to write a review before now. I'll start with the positives. Very clean campground, nice pool and very very friendly staff. Excellent proximity to Blue Mountain, Becky's drive-in, and a fun go cart mini golf place. While all this was fun, the negatives have stuck with me all week since we have returned. This is basically a grass parking lot where campers are just packed in together. Our site was so close to the neighbors we spent most of our time in our trailer because we felt lt like they were in our campsite with us. A seasonal camper in back of us spent 10 hours building some kind of a ATV trailer and he was no more than 5 feet from us for the entire day. The utter lack of privacy was incredibly difficult for my family. It had rained the week before so most of the campground was flooded. My son loves to ride his bike but the poor conditions of the roads made for massive puddles that still weren't dry it out after three days. We tried to walk down to the creek and again, we were standing in water up to our ankles throughout most of the campsite. Also, There was absolutely no cell service. We were given Wi-Fi passwords and they occasionally worked early in the morning but we we are primarily left without cell service and Wi-Fi. I thought long and hard before writing this post because I know the new owners are really trying to make this a great family place but unfortunately they have a long way to go. I'm booking reservations for Labor Day at a different campsite and every place I call I am adamant now to make sure I say "do you have privacy, are the sites gravel, is there good space between campers?" This experience has really put a damper are on our fun summer of camping.
The staff was very helpful, they helped my back the camper into the site, and i did not have a hose long enough to hook up to the water, they lent me one. The campground is one of the smaller ones I had stayed at. All of the seasonal campers we had meet was very friendly. Over all a nice place to camp.
Nice, clean campground. Many options for sites ,some in the Sun, some in the shade some by the creek. Swimming pool with kiddie pool, playground , Pavilion comma game room , activities. State stocked trout stream and super friendly staff. Downside is very small store with a little bit above average prices and limited items.
Very nice campground, loved our site by the creek. Big deck with a firepit. Friendly owners and staff. Had a wonderful weekend.
